WPA Certified Instructor level I & II Class – March 7th, Dana Point, CA
The World Paddle Association will be conducting a level I & II certified instructors class on Friday, March 7, 2014 in Dana Point, CA. Master Class I instructor Byron Kurt will be conducting the course for those seeking certified instruction with stand up paddling that will include, technique, water safety, board/paddle fitting, and water dynamics. With the tremendous growth of stand up paddling, public agencies are looking to have stand up paddling instructors to obtain a certification that will allow for the best knowledge and safety with all instruction. This class will be limited to first 12 people that send a deposit for the course. The class will be 5 hours and run from 9:30am to 2:30pm that will include class and water instruction. The class fee is $295.oo that includes $75 yearly fee along with discounts on water instructor liability insurance and group insurance.
We will also be conducting a level II class that will allow those who have been a WPA level I certified instructor for at least one years time to achieve the next level of certification and become a level II instructor. This class will be limited to the first 18 instructors who send in a deposit. This class will be 1-1/2 hours from 4pm to 5:30pm and includes a water and written examination. The class fee is $95.00.
