Titouan and Annabel lead the WST/Salt Life Cup Standings heading into the PPG Season finale!

Salt Life Apparel, in association with the World Paddle Association’s season long World SUP Tour and Salt Life Cup will come down to the season finale to crown the 2017 WST champions.  The Salt Life Cup is a season-long accumulation of points earned through the World SUP Tour with Titouan holding a 2,750 point lead over Connor Baxter and a 2,900 point lead over Travis Grant in third overall.  Annabel Anderson holds a commanding 5,250 point lead over April Zilg and a 8,300 point lead over Terrene Black in third.  While Annabel is all but assured to take the 2017 Women’s title given the points available (see finale points breakdown below) and the Men’s title is still within reach of the top 5 Men if Titouan finishes outside the top 10.

The season finale at the Pacific Paddle Games on September 30th, October 1st at Doheny State Beach, CA will determine the 2017 WST/Salt Life Cup title in the Elite Technical race.  Since there are qualifying heats to reach the finals of the technical race, anything can happen since the competitors will need to negotiate the surf, buoy turns and other competitor’s that could determine the winner and the points offered.  With 10,000 points being offered to first place in both the Men’s and Women’s races, someone could jump up and take the title and the Salt Life bonus money.  All competitors who have competed in the WST races in 2017 will earn points on their top three finishes for the season and then points earned based on their finish in the Elite technical race.  The current standings as of 9/25/17 and points breakdown are listed below.The WST/Salt Life Cup races award points based on the star rating for each WST event in Elite Men’s SUP 14’& under and Women’s SUP 12’6 & under with the season finale Pacific Paddle Games worth 10,000 points.  The top three point’s leaders through the Pacific Paddle Games will receive Salt Life bonus money and be crowned the 2017 WST/Salt Life Cup Champions.
