The Paddling Community Morns the loss of Bob Risner

The paddling community is morning the loss of Bob Risner, friend, family man and ambassador.  The tragic news has just become known to the paddling community and friends on Monday, February 24, 2014 with the passing of Bob on Sunday, February 23.  More information will be sent out once more details are known and all information is accurate out of respect for Betsy Risner and the family.

Bob and his wife Betsy Risner reside just outside of Park City, Utah were they became great ambassadors with the sport of stand up paddling across the country.  Bob and Betsy were involved with the sport in many ways including being Regional Race Directors for the World Paddle Association and Betsy serving as a board of director.  Most of their efforts were offered out on the kindness of their heart and to help grow the sport in positive fashion.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Betsy and the Risner family.  We as well as countless others in the sport will remember Bob for his positive energy and passion.  We will miss you Bob and you will always be remembered by all that knew you.
