2014 WPA National Race Series
The WPA 2014 National and international race series gives competitors an opportunity to earn points for rankings (offered for current WPA members) in all WPA sanctioned points races (non points sanctioned races do not apply) by region and through the National Race Series. Points for rankings are now automated through PaddleGuru and posted once race results are complete from every WPA sanctioned points race. Check your local region race schedule along with updates through the year. WPA sanctioned races are offered in the United States as well as Australia, Canada, Puerto Rico, British Virgin Isles, Mexico, Europe, Tahiti and India. Additional countries will be added in the future.
The WPA is the only association that offers competitors points for rankings in each region based on board class, gender and age division for both short and long course races (points may not be carried over from one region to another region). The National race series is points from only the National races from each region in the Long course race that will be totaled for the season ending ranking for each competitor by board class and gender. The National race in each region will also be calculated for each competitor as part of the region points.
Competitor points for will count toward season ending rankings in each region, national race series and to qualify for the seasoning ending WPA Championships (qualifying is not necessary for the Short course race). The WPA Championships will be held on October 25 & 26, 2014 with the location to be announced by March 1, 2014.
