2011 WPA U.S. Race Series
The 2011 WPA U.S. Race Series will be made up of seven regions in the United States with 6 races in each region that will be ranked and counted toward the regional championship in each division and used as qualifying process for a season ending WPA Championship TBA.
WPA U.S. Regions
The following regions will make up the 2011 WPA U.S. Race Series:
- Region 1/S. CA- CA/Mex border to Santa Barbara.
- Region 2/N. CA, Tahoe- Paso Robles to CA/OR border and Lake Tahoe.
- Region 3/OR, WA, ID
- Region 4/CO, UT, WY
- Region 5/FL, GA
- Region 6/SC,NC, VA
- Region 7/HI
- Region 10 – Great Lakes
Each region will have a regional director to be named that will work with all of the race directors within their region to select the best 6 races that will be ranked in each division. All races within each WPA region must be sanctioned and adhere to the 2011 WPA rules and guidelines and support the following board classes:
Men
• Stock (12’6”)
• 14′
• Unlimited
• 50+ – one board size, to be determined by race director and the WPA.
• Juniors (16 and Under) on a Stock (12’6”) only
Women
• Stock (12’6”)
• 14′
• Unlimited
• Juniors (16 and Under) on a Stock (12’6”) only.
Ranking
Points will be given to the top 10 finishers in each division based on the following points scale:
• 1st = 1,000
• 2nd= 750
• 3rd= 550
• 4th= 400
• 5th= 325
• 6th= 250
• 7th= 200
• 8th= 150
• 9th= 125
• 10= 100
