SUMMARY:Salt Life Columbus Cup
DESCRIPTION:The World Paddle Association (WPA) in conjunction with Uptown Columbus RiverFest will host the Salt Life Columbus Cup on May 2\, 2020 in Columbus\, GA.   The Salt Life Columbus Cup will offer $30\,000 in cash and prizes and will be sanctioned by the APP World Tour and included in the WPA U.S. Championship Qualifying Series.  New for 2020\, $2\,000 in prize money will be offered to the Open competitors conducted on a fun flat water course and the Elite Double Rapid Technical race with $5\,000 going to first place to both Men and Women competitors.  The Salt Life Columbus Cup will be part of the Columbus RiverFest presented by Salt Life\, which brings together the local community to celebrate water activities and safety that includes two days of food\, drink and bands at the event site on May 1 & 2nd.  The event will be conducted on the Chattahoochee River (90 miles South of Atlanta\, GA) and three blocks from downtown Columbus.\nAgain for 2020\, the “ONE CLASS” races sponsored by SIC Maui will be included at the Salt Life Cup in Columbus. DESCRIPTION:The 10th Annual Carolina Cup is a week-long event featuring over a dozen clinics and 5 races. On Friday\, there are several fun clinics and Demos. On Saturday\, there is a 3.5-mile Harbor Island Recreational race\, 6.5-mile Money Island Open Race\, the dreaded 13-mile Graveyard Elite Race and The Graveyard Outrigger and Surfski race. On Sunday\, the Kids Race and Demos. In 2016\, the Carolina Cup was the largest race on the East Coast with over 900 paddlers competing in races and participating in clinics. In 2015\, the Carolina Cup became the largest and most competitive SUP race in the world. DESCRIPTION:San Francisco\, California – Red Bull Heavy Water\, a highlight on the pro Standup Paddleboard circuit\, is headed back to San Francisco after weather condition requirements were not met in 2018. DESCRIPTION:Bluerush is proud to host the 9th Annual 2019 Battle of the Bay. Held at Mcnears Beach in San Rafael\, California. A family fun water sports festival weekend that looks to raise money for 4 charities while hosting a great day on the water. \nLimited to 150 competitors. \nNote – it costs $10 per car to enter Mcnears Beach. \nThe event will feature many of the areas top competitors in Open Class SUP\, OC1-Surfski and Prone. Kids racing\, a 3 mile short course\, and a 7.5 mile long course are the focus for the day but you can also look to find some fun sprint or relay racing as well. \nNew this year is the addition of One Class Racing. One Board – One Division – One Mile. For only an additional $10 you can enter the race and the board is provided. We will run one mile heat races elimination style to determine a men’s and a women’s winner.
