WPA-China holds first sanctioned event!

The 2017 WPA-China SUP Challenge in Qiandao Lake brought epic scenery to all of the competitors of all abilities for one day of burning sun, clear water and lots of fun. The event was held at the National Water Sports Training Base where several Olympic champions are training.  The blistering summer day with temperature close to 95℉ couldn’t hold back enthusiasm of participants. The event was not only an average SUP event but also the first WPA competition in China.

Qiandao Lake is a man-made lake located in Chun’an County, Zhejiang, China, formed since the completion of the Xin’an River hydroelectric station. The Lake is known for its clear and sometimes drinkable water. It is an important tourist attraction of Zhejiang.
