The weather broke and conditions were nice for the 2011 NAC Hovie SUP festival. This is the first race in the World Paddle Association (WPA) Region One (So Cal) Race Series. The event consisted of a short course (4 miles), a long course (6 miles) and a 500 meter shoot out for $50. There were over 160 competitors attending the event.

The overall winner on the short course was Tommy Donnelly and the Long Course was Rob Rojas.
